🚀 LaunchPad #11: Finding Your Own Linsanity Moment
Jeremy Lin retires, and his career is a reminder of what the right opportunity can do.
This week, Jeremy Lin officially announced his retirement from professional basketball. If you’re not a basketball fan, Lin was the face of Linsanity: a whirlwind stretch in 2012 when he went from undrafted underdog to global star with the New York Knicks. For a brief but unforgettable moment, he dominated the NBA and captured the world’s attention.
For us in Toronto, Lin will also always be remembered as part of the 2019 Raptors squad that won Canada’s first NBA championship. Even though he wasn’t the star of the team, his presence was proof that perseverance and readiness can put you in the right place at the right time.
His journey is a reminder that careers don’t always follow a straight path. Sometimes you just need that one break, that one chance to shine, aka your own Linsanity moment.
