🚀 LaunchPad #9: Air Canada Strikes and Job Lists
Grounded planes lifting momentum for fairer pay, which I think we all love (or hate, I don't judge).
If you’ve been following the news this week, you know Canada’s biggest airline just hit some major turbulence. And no, this is nothing positive like my Jet2 post from last week (still find it so funny that my last 2 posts are coincidentally about airlines/planes, guess that’s what pop culture and the news are about right now), Air Canada’s flight attendants went on strike, grounding flights across the country and leaving thousands of travellers stranded. The fight? Getting paid not just for time in the air, but also for all the ground work that keeps flights moving. After days of chaos, a deal was finally struck and boarding pay is now officially on the table.
While I can’t help you rebook that cancelled flight, I can offer something that might get you closer to your next destination: a curated list of high-quality, Toronto-based tech and ops jobs that could be the ticket to your next career move.
Welcome to Issue #9 of LaunchPad. Every Tuesday, I send out a curated list of Toronto-based roles in Strategy, Ops, Growth, and more. Every Thursday, I drop a Spotlight on one company or role worth your attention. If you’re trying to break into tech or level up your career, you’re in the right place.

Thanks for reading this week’s edition of LaunchPad. The job market can feel like the wild west some days, but my goal is for this to be a place you can rely on for high-quality roles, useful context, and a bit more confidence in your next step.
If you see something you like, go for it. If you find this helpful, please share it with a friend who’s also looking to break into tech or level up their career. More good things will be landing in your inbox next week!
